An overnight barn fire in Montgomery County, Maryland, caused $2 million in damage, authorities said Tuesday morning.

Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said the fire started in a barn on Peach Tree Road near Barnesville Road in Dickerson around 11:45 p.m. Monday.

Piringer described it as a “non-hydrant area” and said 65 firefighters responded.

Three barn structures were involved, according to Piringer, with a “total loss likely upwards” of $2 million. ... There were no injuries and no animals inside.
