God, I really love Michigan.
Yesterday was about as perfect a day as can happen. The air was so clean that it stung my nose and the leaves were stunning in their shininess. This morning was cold, dark and dreadful. I turned the furnace on. This afternoon turned into another perfect day with a lovely breeze that set the leaves to singing. How could you not love this? My best friends moved to Florida a few years ago. They have had the same temperature range, 75-90, for the last 3 months. They love it. Me, I love Michigan's unpredictability and glorious changes. Every morning is exciting to wake up to.

1. You simply cannot beat a perfect summer day in the Great Lakes region.
I will take it over Florida’s searing heat and humidity any day.
(sorry, Floridians) I love the change of seasons and I find beauty in the cold winter. Although winter hangs on a bit too long sometimes ... |

2. You are so right. I'm with you 100%. and yeah, winter hangs a bit long.
But Spring is so glorious when it finally comes. Sometimes in May.

3. So true!
And, we’ll get the searing heat and humidity thing in July for about two weeks, during which time I am about as miserable as can be.

5. You know, we really have the best of everything here...well except perhaps for Hawaii.
We have relatively mild winters, great spring and fall, usually enough rain, sunshine -well almost as much as we want. Honestly, it really is a 'lovely peninsula'. No, I'm not willing to go into the make up of the citizenship. It needs some work.
