Strib letter to editor on school lunches

I could not believe when I read this letter to the editor today on the Startribune. It is about making sure kids are able to eat at school and learn. Talk about a cold, hard heart in Big Lake.

http://www.startribune.com/opinion/letters/245282681.html

You’ve got to be kidding. At what point have I become responsible for feeding the neighbor kid? Children need to be taught that if they don’t have any money, they can’t eat. Now, if parents are unable to supply the minimum money for their children to eat lunch, they most likely are unable to supply their children with any type of parenting, and shouldn’t have children, or their children should be removed from them.

If you disagree, I hope that you will pay for my McDonald’s the next time I walk in without any cash.

Bret Collier, Big Lake

Does this oaf have any intention of giving a foster home to any of these kids? Is this oaf ready to be taxed the billions it will take to build new orphanages for children whose only crime was to be born poor? Or does he want them begging on the sidewalk in Big Lake?

This oaf needs a good dose of reality, to find out how much hunger hurts. His preacher also needs to tell him he's a servant of the Antichrist since he stands against what Christ stood for.

The self-righteousness is so offensive.
