Who's good and who's bad for the various judge positions?

In the past two days, I have gotten two phone calls, one with a Washington DC number, asking me who I'm going to vote for for judge. Since their mailings make them all sound alike, I have no idea. I wonder if any of the attorneys in this group have any insights that would make my decisions easier.

but I'm a little leery of him because of his endorsements - he's currently a prosecutor so a lot of police organizations like him, and the former Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court has also endorsed him. I know Eric Magnuson, the former CJ, from a previous life, and he is very smart and a very nice guy but he is also pretty conservative, though not in a teabagger way, so I suspect Scoggin might also be a bit too conservative for my tastes. I'm leaning more toward Brian Hagerty, who has been endorsed by Karen Clark, Betsy Hodges and Brian Melendez. I don't know anything about the others.

The Tribune had short bios on all of them and I decided to look for someone with judicial experience and Hagerty clercked for several judges in Minnesota. I, too, prefer the endorsements for Hagerty over Scoggins.

For District 61 I am thinking of Jean Brandl who appeared before State, appellate, Federal and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Still, am interested in others' opinions.

Thanks for bringing this up, reminded me to check them out!
Haggerty's website touts transparency and provides links to the others.
For judge, endorsements are something I look at.
Dawson had some DFL support too.
