Chamber of Commerce starting Tesla Rumors in Nevada

The narrative here is that Tesla won't build the long awaited lithium battery plant in Nevada unless the 2% margins tax is voted down in the next election.
Does that mean that Tesla WILL build the battery plant if the tax is voted down?
No it doesn't.
More BS for people that can't think and chew gum.

California, Texas, Nevada.... whichever of these get the project, it will be a boon to the local economy.

A lot of the raw materials, lithium, will come from Nevada and their regulatory processes are streamlined by contrast to California, so my guess is that it will be Nevada.

I don't know that the margins tax is a make or break factor.

I'm just glad it's going to be built, somewhere, Nevada is fine with me.

The Mega Factory will be built in Nevada. There's been much talk about a contest between states for this plant. The truth is that this particular location is probably the only area which it can be built because of the humidity requirements for the process.
The only place as dry as the Virginia Range is Death Valley, which has no infrastructure for a factory.
Tesla has been jerking around the other states in a race to the bottom to see who would subsidize the plant, trying to get best deal, but the moisture factor makes any state with humidity above 20% a non stater.
The average humidity in the Virginia Range is usually around 10%.

The Virginia Range is also the site of the Comstock Lode of mining history.

The announcement has been made, within seconds the response was typical from the RW. Blah, blah ,blah, Nevada got the factory because, blah blah blah.

Wrong as usual. Nevada has the factory because it is the driest state in the Union, and the process for making the lithium batteries requires a total lack of humidity.

Which is why Nevada was chosen in spite of its smaller incentive package.

Sorry to confuse you with the facts right wing business blowviators

Kudos to Governor Sandoval, Senators Harry Reid and Dean Heller.
