Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey calls residents 'hoodrats' in video
TRENTON >> The citys top law enforcement official was captured on camera making a statement that some people view is as damaging as the N-word.
Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey Jr. called residents hoodrats last year in a video obtained by The Trentonian from a source.
Theres a lot of kids out here, Parrey says in the footage from a police body camera that was shot on Aug. 23 on the 500 block of Lamberton Street. But even coming down earlier on, theres a lot of hoodrats out, up and down. Just send them on their way.
Parrey was speaking with two African-American police officers during the encounter just after 6 p.m..
