Why I hate KOAT-TV channel 7 news
I don’t know how long this has been going on but I recently realized (perhaps because I usually watch KRQE-TV channel 13) that KOAT-TV channel 7 doesn’t just tell us the news.
They have a conversation about it.
Whether it’s two news anchors sitting side-by-side, or one anchor and a “reporter in the field”, one will begin the news story and the other will interject questions and comments, even sometimes tossing in a little humor, in a back-and-forth style.
It’s like watching Aunt Bee and Andy discussing Barney’s latest mishaps. If I want that, I’ll watch the news from ‘Mayberry’.
Just give me the news and save the little homespun folksy newscast for the Hee Haw Show.
