National Republicans could redirect money from GOP Rep. Michael Grimm to upstate races, reports say

Tom Wrobleski

WASHINGTON, D.C. - National Republican money could be re-directed from GOP Rep. Michael Grimm's campaign to other House races upstate, reports said.

The money could go toward the GOP's effort to reclaim the 21st Congressional District seat that the party lost in 2009 to Rep. William L. Owens (D-Plattsburgh), according to the Watertown Daily Times.

The Hill said that money could also be redirected from Grimm in order to help the GOP battle Rep. Dan Maffei (D-Syracuse) in the 24th Congressional District.

Grimm is running in the 11th Congressional District against Democrat Domenic M. Recchia Jr.
