1 WTC owners sign first commercial lease in almost three years

The owners of 1 World Trade Center have signed a new commercial office tenant, breaking a three-year streak with no new private commercial leases.
KiDS, a high-fashion branding and marketing agency, signed a deal with the owners of 1 World Trade Center -- developer Douglas Durst and the Port

Authority of New York and New Jersey -- to occupy 35,000 square feet on the 87th floor of the skyscraper, a source told The News. The company will pay more than $90 per square foot, the source said, and annual rent will be over $3 million.

The deal was immediately hailed as a great partner for the tower’s anchor tenant, Conde Nast, which is scheduled to begin its move downtown from Times Square in November.

Twenty-some dollars admission... memorial cheese boards available with all the other 9-11 T-shirts and other memorability in the gift shop. Get your kiddies their own chocolate WTC towers so they can bring them down again at home. And remember! Yummy!
