All five bidding teams proposing a casino in the Capital Region delivered their license application documents to the state Gaming Commission by Monday's deadline. Their rental vans, and those from 11 other bidders in two other zones statewide, dropped off what they hope are winning bids for what may be as many as four casino licenses awarded across three upstate regions.

Now the 16 bidders proposing 17 different projects await rankings that will arrive from a state-appointed siting board of financial specialists and their consultants.

Revelations on the application documents include the names of casino operators partnering at multiple sites.

Emil Galasso, the owner of several hundred acres near Cobleskill, including the nationally known attraction called Howe Caverns, revealed he has pulled in Full House Resorts as a gaming operator for a proposed casino/resort project a short drive uphill from Interstate 88 in Schoharie County.
