Gov. Cuomo and CBS just made it official--"The Late Show" will remain in New York City when Stephen Colbert takes over for David Letterman next year.
Were thrilled to continue broadcasting CBSs LATE SHOW from New York and call the Ed Sullivan Theater its home, said CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves.
The Daily News reported the deal was near earlier Wednesday.CBS will receive at least $11 million in "performance-based" Excelsior tax credits over five years based on the level of investment and job commitments.
CBS, as part of the deal, agrees to commit to about 200 New York-based jobs to support th eprogram's year-round production schedule.
In addition, the state will make available up to $5 million grant for CBS to offset renovations at the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where the sow itaped.
