Christine Quinn joins three NYS lawmakers in calling on GOP's John Cahill to return money from hedge-fund magnate

Former City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and three state lawmakers are leaning on Republican attorney general hopeful John Cahill to return donations from a hedge funder they call a homophobe.

The four signed a Friday letter about $20,000 in campaign cash Cahill -- who's challenging incumbent Democratic AG Eric Schneiderman -- received from Sean Fieler. The Equinox Partners president has used his wealth to fuel American Principles Fund, a superPAC that opposes abortion and gay marriage.
