Judge Ends Bloomberg-Council Prevailing Wage Dispute

NY1

A Manhattan judge ends a legal challenge that has caused tension between former Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the city for years.

The so-called "prevailing wage" law guarantees pay topping at $20 an hour for building services workers at facilities that get major subsidies or rent from the city.

Bloomberg vetoed the measure during his time in office, then sued the City Council when they overturned his veto.
