Metropolitan Opera Reaches Labor Deal With Stagehands

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The Metropolitan Opera has reached more labor agreements and said it expects to avert a lockout by reaching agreements with the remaining unions as well.

The Met said it reached an agreement with the stagehands early Wednesday.

The opera house is still in negotiations with eight smaller unions, including those representing painters and costume and makeup artists.
