Poll: De Blasio more popular among black voters

Black voters continue to like Mayor Bill de Blasio more than white voters.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday afternoon, 65 percent of black voters approve of de Blasio's job performance, compared to just 36 percent of white voters. The death last month of Eric Garner at the hands of police and protests this month in Ferguson, Missouri, after police shot and killed Michael Brown, appear to have done little to shift the balance in either direction.

In June, 66 percent of black voters approved of the job de Blasio was doing, compared to 41 percent of whites.
