Stolen Bronx Parrot Found, Returned To Owner

NY1News

A stolen parrot is back home with its owner after being taken from her on Monday afternoon.

Police say the suspect, identified as 53-year-old Darryyl Walker, followed the victim, 67-year-old Ana Marte, into an elevator and up to her apartment in the Morris Housing Complex.

According to authorities, the suspect pulled out a gun and then stole the bird, which is valued at more than $300.

The parrot, named "Cuca," has now been found safe.

Heartless criminals. Sooner or later they'll figure out that, like London, their every move outside their home is caught on the ubiquitous CCTV cameras.

So glad the birdie is back wif his momma.
