Akai Gurley’s partner slams rookie cops, NYCHA in wrongful death lawsuit

Two rookie police officers, the city and the beleaguered Housing Authority will be slammed with a wrongful death lawsuit Thursday by the domestic partner of an unarmed Brooklyn man who was shot to death by a cop in the stairwell of the Pink Houses.

“The negligence of all defendants contributed to the shooting of Akai Gurley,” the suit alleges.

Kimberly Ballinger, 28, is suing on behalf of her 2-year-old daughter Akaila.
