City Council Holds Hearing As TWC, CBS Dispute Continues

The City Council is stepping into the ongoing battle between Time Warner Cable and CBS.

Council members will hold a hearing today into the dispute over carriage fees that led Time Warner Cable to pull CBS and Showtime programming from its systems around the country.

The cable company says CBS is making inconsistent demands compared with deals made with other cable providers.

CBS claims it would be getting a smaller share than what Time Warner Cable pays to other networks.
