New Yorkers: "How to Prevent Stolen Elections"

Reposted from Sanders Group.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1280160124

This Thursday, nite. In Hastings ( lower Westchester, 15 mins north of NYC line.)

I got this notice from a local progressive group. Might be a good idea if some NYS Sanders supporters attended.

Our presidential primary is April 19. NYS DEM machine is solidly behind our opponent. Enough said.

We'd be foolish in the extreme not to be highly vigilant. We.... most of us anyway.... probably don't know much about stealing elections.

I'm not so sure about the machine.

I plan to attend. Knowledge is power. Potentially, anyway.

>>>Hello All – Please join us next Thursday, March 31st, when our forum on “How to Prevent Stolen Elections” will be at the Hastings Community Center (Main St.), beginning at 7:30 pm. To set the right tone for this important/interesting event, here is a segment from "The Daily Show" that addresses a few (just a few!) of the problems we confront in ensuring election-integrity. The program is free, and we hope for lots of discussion. Please join us!

Our forum speakers will include Virginia Martin, Democratic Election Commissioner in Columbia Country (where they hand-count paper ballots); Kathleen Campbell, a former election commissioner in North Carolina, who will speak about the state’s rampant voter suppression; and Allegra Dengler, who will speak about the election stealing/computer hacker record to-date across the USA. (For an excellent/useful video archive of short & long documentaries about how computers/people can steal elections, go here.)
