STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Do it now.
So said Rep. Michael Grimm Saturday, in calling on President Obama to order a "limited, targeted strike" now on Syria.
Grimm said he believes there is credible evidence that the Assad regime used chemical weapons on its civilian population.
"I am supporting the president on this," Grimm (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) told the Advance Saturday. "He is going to have to strike. He should use our superior air power, our naval power. These should be targeted strikes to disable their air force and where they hold their chemical weapons. The strikes should be at hard targets, like their airfields."
Grimm, a U.S. Marine and decorated combat veteran of the first Gulf War, said he understands calls from House leadership on both sides of the aisle to "confirm this with Congress," adding, "I want to be in the loop."

P.S., I'm in Brooklyn (at this time, but returning back home Tuesday) but not in Grimm's district - too far north.
I'm in the Borough Park area.
