Eyewitness News

NEW YORK (WABC) -- For many, Labor Day means the annual West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn. The parade is one of the great parades and events here in the city. It is not to be missed for all that it has to offer. Violence however, has marred the event this year.

The West Indian nations come together as one to celebrate on this day. A multitude of cultures sharing a colorful parade route down Eastern Parkway.

More than a million people attended this end of summer spectacle, this year, its 46th year.
