Remember for the NYC mayor's primary that it may take 2 weeks to determine if there is a runoff.

Absentee ballots won't be counted until at least 9 days after election day. NY law on absentee ballots are dumb. The are similiar to CA law. This is why Democratic presidential candidates gain votes in the weeks after election day.

There are three weeks in a runoff campaign. They changed it this year from 2 to 3 weeks.

So what you see on election night may not be the whole story.
