3 injured after exposure to liquid on bus

REGO PARK (WABC) -- Three people were injured, including two children when they came in contact with a "caustic" liquid onboard a bus in Rego Park.

Police say a rider was carrying a "caustic" liquid that accidentally came in contact with people on the bus. Someone may have tripped over the container, or the liquid may have eaten through an improper container.

One of the kids has burns to his or her legs and back. The children are 8 and 10 years old. There is currently no information on the third victim.
