Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred can work in New York

ALBANY — Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred announced Tuesday that she’s licensed to practice in New York.

Allred, whose practice is based in California, said she was sworn into the New York Bar by an Albany judge early Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear how Allred qualified in New York. The state has no reciprocity agreement with California and Allred didn’t say whether she took the bar exam in New York.
