Legislator Chris Eachus Declares For State Senate
Eachus said he is running to make Albany work for the residents of the district. For too long, our State representatives have been more concerned about those in State Government than the people who sent them there, said Eachus.
Eachus will focus on three areas of reform: school taxes, economic growth and unfunded mandate relief.

NEWBURGH Orange County Legislator Christopher Eachus officially announced on Sunday he will run for the 39th District State Senate seat currently held by Republican William Larkin.
Eachus, a Democrat, said the economy, jobs and the attack on the middle class are his concerns.
I am just appalled at what happens to all of the students which I teach, graduate from high school, then graduate from college and that there are no jobs or economic opportunities for them out there and secondly, I am also very worried about the current tax on the working middle class individuals that is going on by our politicians at the state level, he said.
Eachus said he is in the race whether Larkin runs again or not, but he said he believes it is time for the long time lawmaker to retire.
