Proposals 1-5 pass and number six fails. (Original Post) hrmjustin Nov 2013 OP
Dammit all! Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #1
The Capitol region did not like the casino ballot. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #2
Well, that's where I am, didn't think it would pass here Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #3
Yeah I don't think voters really thought these things through. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #4
If voters were just reading these as they walked in to vote, I don't think they thought much Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #5
Yeah I knew I wanted to vote for 2,3, and 6. the others no. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #6
I felt pretty strongly about all of them, especially voting no on gambling and the "land grab(s)" Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #10
5 is now failing. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #11
Maybe that one was easier to understand for the folks reading it in the doorway... Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #15
I think people saw mineral comapny on it and people thought fracking. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #18
That is very likely. Fracking is not popular around here Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #20
The moratorium is complicated. It is a mix of local and state officials saying no. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #22
I thought the governor declared fracking to be prohibited until at least 2014 Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #30
Yes but some local municipalities have the right to say yes or no as well. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #31
here hrmjustin Nov 2013 #7
Close enough to be a regional issue. *sigh* Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #21
I wonder how the city voted for it. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #24
here hrmjustin Nov 2013 #8
That is baffling, wonder why? Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #13
The league of conservation voters endorsed this one. Not the other one. hrmjustin Nov 2013 #17
That makes sense, then. Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #26
Hey I was wrong. Number five is loosing hrmjustin Nov 2013 #9
Oh, good! I think that's the worst of the two. Rhiannon12866 Nov 2013 #12

I did not like the precedent that 4 and 5 set. These issues should not be settled in the ballot box but the courts.

I made sure that I knew what I was voting for before I went to vote. These were too much to take in right on the spot...

I voted yes on the four others and so did anybody else that I asked about it. Of course, this is not the most populous part of the state.

I'm hoping that the county supervisor I voted for won. He's done a good job and he's one of the few local Democrats.
