Talking Transition Tent Opens For New Yorkers To Discuss Priorities For Next Administration

NY1NEWS
Starting today, New Yorkers have a place to go to let Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio know what they want from his administration.

Ten foundations have teamed up to set up a tent on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Canal Street in Manhattan. It's called the "Talking Transition" initiative.

De Blasio is not associated with this project. The hope is, this will get New Yorkers discussing the civic issues that matter most to them and the new City Hall team will act on any suggestions.

The tent opened at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Staff will collect opinions and suggestions for the next 15 days.

They should move it around to the neighborhoods. Some people never go to Manhattan. nt MADem Nov 2013 #1
