CONEY ISLAND (WABC) -- Rescue divers are on the scene where a dolphin has become stuck in a creek in Brooklyn.
The rescue operation is underway near Bay 54th street and Cropsey avenue in Coney Island.
The NYPD is helping free the dolphin from the creek where it is swimming in circles.

The NYPD's emergency services unit and harbor patrol are now helping direct the dolphin out of the creek
Crews will attempt to create an opening in a creek boom, making room for it to swim out.
