Brooklyn shooting leaves teenage girl injured

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 14-year-old girl has been taken to the hospital in serious condition after being shot in the leg in Brooklyn.

The shooting took place on Sutter Avenue and Euclid Avenue in the East New York section of Brooklyn just before 4 p.m. in front of a car wash.

"She's a straight A student, she didn't deserve this," said Charisse Tucker, the victim's mother.

Instead of a quiet Friday night in the safety and comfort of their home, the victim's parents are at Kings County Hospital tending to their 14-year-old daughter.
