Inwood 9/11 memorial spray painted by vandals

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 9/11 memorial garden was vandalized with spray painted graffiti on Thanksgiving Day in Inwood.

Also, Good Shepherd School and Inwood Gourmet also suffered damage from graffiti.

A lot of the concern is focusing on the cleanup as church leaders want to get the paint off before it gets too deep into the building.

The gardens were dedicated to two dozen neighborhood people who died on 9/11.
