Brooklyn deli clerk found dead with laceration in basement

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- A Brooklyn deli clerk was discovered dead with a head laceration in the basement of his store early Friday.

The 55-year-old man was found in the basement of 797 Deli Grocery on Stanley Avenue in East New York just after 5 a.m.

A passerby had noticed no clerk on duty in the 24-hour deli and called 911
