Morningside Heights bank engulfed by large fire

MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS (WABC) -- Nearly 200 firefighters battled a five-alarm fire Saturday morning at a Citibank building in the Morningside Heights section of Manhattan.

The fire broke out at 5:20 a.m. at the builiding at Broadway and West 111th Street, and went to five alarms several hours later.

Authorities say the blaze was contained to the basement and first floor of the bank building.

45 pieces of FDNY apparatus were being used to fight the stuborn fire.
