Freeport crash ends with car in store; 8 injured

FREEPORT (WABC) -- At least eight people were injured when a car crashed through a business on Long Island Thursday morning.

The incident began with a collision between a box truck and a car in Freeport around 9 a.m. That car careened into a third vehicle, and authorities say that driver, perhaps in a moment of panic, hit the gas and went through the the front of the tile store.

All of the victims were in the vehicles, and no pedestrians were injured.

One of the cars had two babies inside.
