NYC Sanitation Boss Blames Mother Nature For Storm Problems; Says Mayor Wasn't "Misled"

"The problem was it snowed, so we'll see what happened," Doherty said when asked what went wrong Tuesday.

He was spotted leaving City Hall just after noon, but refused to say who he met with there, or whether de Blasio had called him today.

"He's in Washington," he said when asked if the mayor had reached out to complain.

Asked if de Blasio - who had initially praised the agency's storm response - was misled, Doherty said no.
