John Cahill, Former Top Aide To Ex-Gov. George Pataki, Eyes Run For NYS Attorney General

BY KEN LOVETT

Here is an expanded version of the lead item of my "Albany Insider" column from today's editions:

Ex-Gov. George Pataki’s former chief of staff is “seriously considering” a run for attorney general.

John Cahill, now Pataki’s law partner, said he’s been approached by Republican party and top business leaders about challenging incumbent Democrat Eric Schneiderman.

“I’m giving it serious consideration,” Cahill told the Daily News. “I see it as a way to get back serving the public.”
