Grimm offers a ‘friendly’ apology to NY1 reporter

Azi Paybarah

Rep. Michael Grimm apologized in a phone call to the NY1 reporter who he threatened after an on-air interview in Washington last night.

NY1 reporter Michael Scotto, appearing on air this morning, said Grimm “called to apologize” and “said it was really not him.”

“I accepted his apology and I think we’re going to move on from here,” said Scotto.

He said the apology “sounded sincere to me” and “friendly.”

This man seems to be a self-promoter who is full of himself. His real estate venture with a former work associate looks to have illegal angles. Years ago, he was involved in an incident in a nightclub, but he maintains he was cleared. A tabloid reports that he recently engaged in a foolish episode in another nightclub. In yesterday's encounter with the much smaller reporter, he seemed to revel in his brawniness and physical superiority. I suppose Glen Beck is proud of him.

With any luck he won't be a member of the House for too much longer, either...!
