Grace Meng To Raise Money For House Hopefuls -- And Maybe Her Own Profile -- With New PAC

She’s launching a political action committee to help out candidates who have backgrounds much like her own: Immigrants or their children, young or first-time political contenders, and women.

Meng said the PAC, “@theTable,” will help consolidate the requests for help she’s received from others who want to try their hand at politics.

“The title [is] a concept that's been important to me. As the daughter of immigrants, growing up in New York City, you are either at the table or on the menu,” Meng told the Daily News Friday.

"You want to be someone at the table [being] a part of leadership making important decisions that affect your community."
