MEDFORD, New York (WABC) -- The office of the Attorney General has announced the arrest of 9 people including the owners of a nursing home in Medford who are accused of neglect against patients who lived in the home.
The claim indicates that one patient even died as a result of the alleged neglect at Medford Multicare Center in Medford, New York

(4,940 posts)especially our elderly. My father-in-law died 4 years ago. His one request? "Don't put me into one of them homes." We didn't. I quit my job to stay with him when nothing else worked. It was worth every second. He died at the age of 86, at home. Snoring, at first! Typical- he had the BEST sense of humor, ever, even in advanced Alzheimer's!

I can't stand those who hurt the elderly. There is a special place in Hell for people like that.

(63 posts)It is very hard work, and the pay is even lower relative to workers' expenses, than it was 30 years ago. That said, I think these perpetrators should be tied into wheelchairs and treated precisely the way they treated their victims.
