2 shot in Levittown, schools placed on "lockout"

Eyewitness News
LEVITTOWN (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are looking for a gunman in the shooting of 2 people inside a home in Levittown.

Preliminary information suggested the 2 victims had been wounded with a shotgun.

Neighbors told Eyewitness News reporter Kristin Thorne that they heard as many as 5 shots. Who did the shooting and where the suspect is located are questions that remain a mystery as of this writing.

Elementary and middle schools in the Island Trees School District in Levittown were placed on lockout as a precaution.

Hope the wounded are ok. New York City besides Maryland have the strictest gun laws in the country. What the heck is going on? Do they need to do more? Confiscating guns is all that is left. Is it time?
