Westchester Democrats To County Exec Rob Astorino: Try Getting Back To Your Day Job
BY CELESTE KATZ
The Westchester Democratic organization is sticking it to County Executive Rob Astorino for being too flighty -- literally.
Democrats are out with a website and video, "Where Is Rob?" accusing the Republican exec of being more interested in a "quixotic" run against Gov. Cuomo than actually managing his county.
The site says Astorino has spent 14 of 67 days outside Westchester since his re-election and six business days out of 30 elsewhere since he started his new term. Those jaunts included three trips out of state, one which involved meeting with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at a conference in Arizona.
Mr. Astorino campaigned on a promise that he would be a dedicated county executive. Looking at his travel schedule, he clearly has other priorities, party Chairman Reginald LaFayette in a statement rolling out the site, which also includes a petition for those who think Astorino should "get back to work for Westchester."
