Albany lets Tesla maintain New York presence

Scott Waldman

ALBANY—State lawmakers have reached a deal that will allow Tesla to continue its current operations in New York.

The electric vehicle automaker will not be allowed to expand beyond the five stores it currently has in New York, under a deal negotiated as part of the state budget process.

The agreement must still be officially approved by state lawmakers, but it has the support of legislative leaders in both houses and Governor Andrew Cuomo.

This is a state where he could be progressive but he is owned by wall street.

The Working Familys Party is thinking of putting up a primary challenger to him in their primary.
