Top-scoring Long Island College Hospital bidder selected

SUNY officials have 30 days from April 4 to negotiate a deal with Brooklyn Health Partners, the bidder for Long Island College Hospital whose proposal to redevelop the hospital complex scored highest.

BHP scored 64.23 with its $250 million bid. The next highest score was 62.76 by Peebles Corp., whose $260 million proposal included North Shore-LIJ, Maimonides Medical Center, ProHealth and the Institute for Family Health. In third place, with a score of 61.61, was a bid by the former front runner, Fortis Property Group and NYU Langone.
