Related: About this forumBill closes sex offender loophole
By Tiffany Brooks
Shocked by a loophole that allowed a Putnam County sex offender to move next door to one of his victims following his release from prison, Sen. Greg Ball and Assemblyman Edward Braunstein have introduced legislation that would bar serious sex offenders from living within 1,500 feet of their victims.

(1,000 posts)1. But what about the many people who were found not guilty of sex crimes
due to mental disease or defect, and sent to developmental centers. Now being released into the community, but NOT having to register as sex offenders.
I worked with some of them years ago and they were the most dangerous predators in the state.
