Mayor de Blasio stands with religious groups that worship in public schools

Faith groups may continue to make their home in public school buildings for a long time to come under Mayor de Blasio - even though Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña was against the practice.

De Blasio strengthened his stance Tuesday that religious organizations have a right to worship in public school buildings, even though a federal appeals court decided last week that the city can bar services from taking place in the public spaces

We had a congregation meeting across the street from my Episcopal parish in the village and they were raging anti-LGBT bigots. So my opinion on this are colored by my negative experience.
