Texas Gov. Rick Perry challenges NY Gov. Cuomo to economic debate

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s didn’t wait until he actually arrived in New York for the start of his business-poaching trip to begin egging on Gov. Cuomo.

Perry, during an appearance on an Albany radio station Tuesday morning, challenged Cuomo to a public debate on which state – New York or Texas – has the better business climate.

“I’d be more than happy to sit down and have a thoughtful conversation, a debate with Gov. Cuomo over the issues that face us as a state and talk about the economic policies and compare New York to Texas,” Perry said, speaking from his office in Texas.

I am not a fan of Cuomo either... but Perry in a debate with someone with brains (at least with regard to anyone outside of Texas) he hasn't got a chance. Cuomo might be a shill but he's certainly not stupid.

Both of them are thugs, and both are STUPID. According to various accounts on the inter web, Cuomo failed the NY State Bar Exam four times. If it weren't for his daddy, Cuomo would be flipping burgers. The guy is far from an intellect.

I am originally from the NE and I thought politics was ugly there. But now that I have been in the northern Rockies for a few decades, it's just a different kind of ugly here... complete with spurs and shotgunz. It's too much wide open space for baseball bats to be practical!

34. Goodhair is trying to appear like he is not afraid to debate

In 2010, Goodhair avoided debating Bill White for some pretty lame reasons. Bill is a form Susman Godfrey trial attorney and would have done well in these debates even though Bill is a commercial trial lawyer who is more use to making arguments to judges than juries. The Susman firm is a truly great litigation firm with some of the strongest trial attorneys in the nation.

Goodhair is trying to demonstrate to the GOP money class that he is not afraid to debate. There is no reason for Cuomo to accept this debate offer and Cuomo would get nothing out of any such debate. Goodhair is trying to send the message to the GOP donor class that 2012 was a fluke due to his back surgery and that Goodhair is really a good debater. I really doubt that this ploy will work.

How would debating Goodhair help Cuomo in any way? I believe that Goodhair made this demand so that he can try to convince the GOP donor class that he is not afraid of debates

I would love to see Goodhair be the GOP nominee but I simply doubt that Goodhair can recover from his 2012 flops.
