Controller Scott Stringer switches sides to endorse Adriano Espaillat for Congress

After endorsing Rep. Charlie Rangel two years ago for Congress, city Controller Scott Stringer switched sides and announced his support on Wednesday for state Sen. Adriano Espaillat.

Bashing Congress for "turning its back" on the New York City Housing Authority, Stringer said Espaillat would bring a breath of fresh air to the high-profile position, and create more affordable housing for the city and work on immigration reform.
