Obama heads to Charlotte area next week
CHARLOTTE - President Obama will visit the Charlotte area next Thursday, a White House official said Friday.
The tour is part of the president's "Middle Class Jobs and Opportunities Tour." It would be the president's first visit to Charlotte since last September's Democratic National Convention.
No details on the visit have been released, including where the president will be speaking.
The administration said the president would revisit economic themes from January's State of the Union address, including investing in good-paying, stable jobs for the middle class
