NC's median household income falls 10.9% from 2000-2010.

Median household income in North Carolina counties

North Carolina's median household income has fallen from $51,125 in 2000 to $45,570 in 2010, a decline of 10.9 percent. All figures are in 2010 dollars. Half of households in the state have incomes above the median, and half below, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Click on a county on the left to generate a column chart showing that county's median household income.

Click on the "Statewide" button to generate a table showing the median hosuehold income in all counties.

--you can click on each county and literally see the amount of decline in median income in just about all of them.

depressing as the data may be for this state. I also posted one re: health insurance coverage -- that was an eye opener.
