Former Portman aide opens government relations firm with Lewandowski
Former Rob Portman aide and Donald Trump consultant Barry Bennett is opening a government relations and political consulting firm with perhaps the most well-known aide to Donald Trump.
Bennett and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski announced Wednesday that they are launching Avenue Strategies, a firm based a block from the White House.
The two share Ohio roots. Lewandowski worked for former Rep. Bob Ney while Bennett worked for Portman as well as served as chief of staff for former Reps. Jean Schmidt and Frank Cremeans.
In a release, Lewandowski called himself Trump’s “biggest supporter.”
