I laughed every time one ran despite knowing how ridiculous they were. They might not have been effective, but they were funny. I say this because Democrats, despite having, I suspect, far more humorists in their ranks than Rs do, don't use humor in their ads. Humor is an effective tool to make a point. One need look no further than The Daily Show, SNL, the opening monologues of Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, Conan, etc. to know that.

Now they're walking it back, just as I predicted. I'm certain the news editors would have endorsed Lamb but their bosses (the Block family) told them it had to be Saccone.

Ohwell, such is life in the Steel City.
